Blessed are the Persecuted

On Sunday, October 25, 2020, Elder Mike Gowens continues his series on the Beatitudes by looking at Matthew 5:10-12. This 8th Beatitude is not, like the others, a distinguishing trait of Christian character so much as the result or consequence for living a Beatitude life. Persecution is the cost of discipleship, but the believer may take comfort to know that when earth opposes, Heaven endorses.
