Blessed are the Peacemakers

In this world of conflict and tension, the need for Christian peacemakers is great.

Living With Your Conscience

Elder Mike Gowens' 10/4/20 sermon looks at Paul's statement in Acts 24:16: "And herein do I exercise myself to have always a conscience void of offence toward God and toward men." Gowens begins by defining the conscience, proceeds to explore a couple of biblical metaphors, and concludes by discussing principles for maintaining a good conscience.

The Strength of Weakness

In a culture that values beauty, success and perfection, how refreshing is the reminder that weakness is not only okay but preferable!

The Joy of Salvation

Every Bible subtheme under the general category of "salvation" is a picture-word, and each contains its own attendant note of joy. In this message from May 2020, Elder Michael Gowens looks at David's prayer of repentance in Psalm 51, focusing on his request that God might restore "the joy of thy salvation" in verse 12. When a person loses the joy of salvation through sin and disobedience, he/she has lost something very precious.
